We have been working with Gentleman’s Box for over 2 years now. The crew packages and labels for shipping, monthly subscription boxes, which consists of high-end grooming products, accessories, etc. for men. We currently have 17 consumers that go to the Gentleman Box Headquarters every month for about 6-15 days out of the month while earning at least minimum wage. The team was an integral part in packaging the first order of boxes for the Ellen Degeneres Show in November and December 2018 that consisted of socks, a diffuser, volunteer scratch offs, organic dish washing liquid, a silver necklace, organic granola bars, and organic lip balm. Gentleman’s Box has afforded our consumers with gaining great work experience, money, and confidence.
This has become a very mutually beneficial relationship. Co-Founder and Chief Gentleman, John Haji was asked about their relationship with STEP and said, “Over the last few years, STEP services has made a huge contribution to the operations of Gentleman’s Box. Their commitment to providing reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy individuals has truly made us feel as though they are really just an extension of the Gentleman’s Box team and part of our family.”
This is not a rare sentiment, when given a chance our participants often become a part of the team that staff will wonder how they ever lived without. This type of creative and meaningful opportunity can be something STEP works out with any employer, all it takes is an open mind.
