Please be advised, out of an abundance of caution, all resource center activities (skill building, community based services and manufacturing/production) at Services to Enhance Potential will be suspended between March 16, 2020 and March 20, 2020 to assist with community mitigation of COVID-19. We will continue to provide supports coordination within the community and via telephone and supported employment at some sites in the community (you will be notified whether or not your site is open, and our thrift stores will be open and operational. This decision is in line with the strategies outlined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, which indicate that social distancing and avoiding large gatherings of individuals are necessary to prevent mitigation of COVID-19.
Our plan is to reopen for all services on 3/23/2020. During the time that the above services are suspended, Services to Enhance Potential (STEP) will continue to engage with with local, statewide, and national health offices to assure we are up to date with information being shared. Despite that, conditions could change rapidly. To that end, we have set up the following lines of communication:
- A hotline is set up at 734-718-0071. This line will not enable leaving messages but will allow individuals to check on the status of STEP operations. If you need immediate help please call our emergency line at 734-718-1416.
- Short updates to be posted on our website https://stepcentral.org/ and on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/enhancepotential/
- Email to provide continued communication. If you have not already signed up for our emails, you can do so at: https://stepcentral.org/contact/.
- If you do need to speak to an individual during normal business hours, please call your designated resource center.
